ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/SCOPE OF WORK:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

Program:

 

MonthlySalary: 1200  $

·         Contribute to the overall planning and supervision of projects implemented by DAMA staff

·         Contribute to the strategic, technical and operational management of DAMA’s projects. This will include developing resources for effective project management, including work plans, budgets and matrixes

·         Guide and develop DAMA’s partnerships with the UN, other NGOs and civil society to facilitate capacity building. Oversee the monitoring of projects implemented with partners by managing contractual agreements.

·         Oversee day to day program activities to ensure they are implemented in accordance with donor-approved work plan and budget

·         Provide training and on-the-job mentoring to staff

·         Ensure proper office management, security services, documentation of project activities

·         Liaise with relevant KRI  and Iraq authorities in Erbil , Duhok and Suleimaniya  to ensure proper registration and compliance with all government regulations

·         Facilitate information sharing among team members about contextual updates, coordination and reporting mechanisms;

Monitoring and Reporting:

 

·         Ensure the production of quality and timely reports to donors, partners and authorities on program activities.

·         Oversee the collection and analysis of project data and documentation. Provide technical guidance and support to the Reporting Officer/Project manager on the management and compilation of data per reporting requirements.

Team Management

 

·         Create and sustain a work environment of mutual respect where team members strive to achieve excellence;

·         Promote accountability, communicate expectations and provide constructive feedback via regular performance reviews;

 

 

·         Contribute to country team-building efforts, help team members identify problem solving options and ensure the integration of all team members into relevant decision-making processes.

·         Identify any gaps or capacity needs within the team and ensure training and capacity building is incorporated into program planning.

Representation:

Assist in representing DAMA programs to external stakeholders, humanitarian partners, donors and civil society

 

Finance:

·         Ensure that DAMA projects are effectively managed financially. Assist in the planning and authorization of expenditures and provide support in budget forecasting and budget revisions

·         Ensure internal and donor compliance through a strong knowledge of rules applicable to the Iraq context.

 

Logistic and procurement

Provide necessary inputs related to the process of logistics and warehouse management in  Erbil , Duhok , and Suleimaniya ,   and coordinate all cross check points  operations into projects site.

 

Human Resources:

 

·         Draft and review TORs, coordinate staff and support administrative processes related to leave and recruitment

·         Contribute to creating a work environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth 

·         Maintain sufficient resources for DAMA projects including appropriate staff, assist in conducting  the related procedures (recruitment, orientation, training, performance evaluation, development etc.)
